our story
Indra Hair Care has been around for more than 30 years. After Indra obtained her diplomas and certificates in America for European and Black hair, she started her own barbershop in Curaçao. Here she quickly became known as a good hairdresser who did the popular “wet look” (curly) treatment.
She preferred to expand the business and came to the Netherlands to further realize her career. Once in the Netherlands, she worked for a number of years as a home hairdresser and built up her broad customer base from home.
Since 1999, Indra has given a cutting course in the women’s center Saami in Hoofddorp. This was soon a success and many registrations followed. There was a lesson for beginners and even advanced. She has helped many women who wanted to cut their own hair at home. However, after 2011, the municipality stopped the subsidy for this. And unfortunately these courses could no longer be given.
Since April 1, 2011, Indra has her own place at the Kruisweg and Indra Hair Care is still a great success. Together with her employees she creates a cozy atmosphere and of course beautiful haircuts in the salon. People with “Black hair”, ”European hair” and “Curly hair” are most welcome.
